When you login, a one-use authentication link will be sent to your account e-mail which you click to login. No password or secret questions, just an e-mail. Is this secure you ask? As, if not more, secure as passwords, since no one else should have access to your email, which is also protected by a login.
What details are stored about your ESO account
The only details that is stored about your ESO account is the account name. I recommend you use a different e-mail than the one you use for your ESO account - if you do not, then this piece of information will also be stored.
ESO Account Name
You are not allowed to use other players' ESO names. If you are found doing this you will be permanently banned from ESO Merchant.
Note: Have someone already signed up with your ESO name? Please file a dispute.
Your e-mail is encrypted with AES-256 encryption. If you forget which e-mail you use for your account, I cannot tell you which one it is, we would need to completely reset your account details. Click Here for more info on how to recover you account.
Please note: If you choose to receive e-mail notifications, your email will be stored with an encryption key we know - meaning you would not be able to take advantage of the additional security layer.
