Get Started

Get Started

Welcome to ESO Merchant! Since this is the first time you logged in, here is a short "getting started" guide.
This is a small guide which will hopefully help you get started. Make sure you read it all, especially the 2 points marked as Important Note. Now, this guide is far from finish, but I thought it was important to add something quickly and then look at expanding it and improving it later.

The Forge

The forge is the place where you can view your orders, requests, find crafters and manager your professions.

Placing an order

To place an order with a crafter, you must first navigate to the "Find Crafters" page here, or via the navigation:

"The Forge" -> "Find Crafters".

Using the menu on the left, you specify which item you would like crafted and click "Find Crafter". If someone can craft the specified item in your region, they will show up on the list to the right. Then you just choose who you want to send the request to and you are done!

You can create a "Multi-Item Request" by clicking the "Add to Multi-Item Request" instead of "Send Request. "Multi-Item Requests" are basically like a shopping cart. So instead of sending a single request for each item you are after, you can combine them all into one single order.

Important Note

The region which you have selected in the top-right of the navigation determins which region the search will look for crafters. So if you choose "PC/Mac North America" it will only search for crafters within that region.

Viewing Orders/Requests

When you have placed an order or if someone have placed an order with you, you can see them by clicking "Outgoing Requests" or "Incoming Orders" respectively. You can find these in the navigation here:

"The Forge" -> "Incoming Orders".
"The Forge" -> "Outgoing Requests".

A list with all orders and requests will now show. When you find the order or requests you would like to see more details about, you just click the green button to the right of the order/request called "View Order" or "View Request" respectively.

Important Note

The region which you have selected in the top-right of the navigation determins which orders/requests will display. So if you choose "PC/Mac North America" it will only show orders/requests for that region.

Managing Professions

If you would like to offer your crafting services to your guild or region, you first have to setup your professions. To do this, you need to go to the "Manage Professions" page here, or via the navigation:

"The Forge" -> "Manage Professions".

Important Note

The region which you have selected in the top-right of the navigation determins the region which your skills apply. So if you choose "PC/Mac North America", any changes made to your professions will only affect that region.

Guild Manager

This is where you can join, leave, create and manage your guilds.

Creating Guilds

If you want to create your own ESO Merchant guild page where you can search for crafters within just your guild, you must go to the "Create Guild" page here, or via the navigation:

"Guild Manager" -> "Create Guild".

Important Note

You are not allowed to create a "personal" guild, here you are the only one in it (don't worry, there are plans to accomidate this). Also please only create guilds you actually have or are allowed to sign up.

Managing Guilds

To manager you guilds, both as a member and as a guild leader, simply go to the "My Guilds" page here, or via the navigation:

"Guild Manager" -> "My Guild(s)".

Guild Sites

When you create your guild you can specify a guild "url slug". A Url slug is also known as a "part" of the website url. So if you choose eg. "my-awesome-guild", your unique ESO Merchant guild url will be: http://my-awesome-guild.esomerchant.com.
Anyone directed to this site, will only be able to search for crafters within your guild. Furthermore, you will be able to see the guild news feed if you are a member.

Account Settings

If you need to change your email, add additional ways of authentication to your account or even delete your account, this is where you need to do it. You can view your account settings here, or via the navigation:

"" -> "Settings".

Google Authenticator

Instead of email authentication links, you can also use Google Authenticator. Google Authenticator is avilable on most mobile brands and OS'es. If you have trouble receiving emails from ESO Merchant or if they take a long time to arrive, this might be a good alternative for you.

To add (or remove) Google Authenticator to your account, just go to your settings and follow the steps. You can find your settings here, or via the navigation:

"" -> "Settings".

Reuseable Login Links

If you want to make your email login links work for 30 days at the time so you do not need to wait for an email every time, just go to your settings page and tick the "Enable Reuseable login links", and next time you login you will receive a login link which will be good for 30 days.

You can find the settings page here, or via the navigation:

"" -> "Settings".

Account Deletion

I respect if you want to minimise you internet footprint, so I have made it very easy to delete your account. Just go to your settings page and under the "DANGER ZONE", just fill in your email and click delete account. You will soon receive an email with a confirmation link. Click this link and your account is gone forever.

You can find the settings page here, or via the navigation:

"" -> "Settings".

Important Note

Deleting your account is a PERMANENT action. Once your account is gone it cannot be restored. If you want an account again, you will have to sign up again.
